Carbon Copy Etymology

Our name Carbon Copy or cc comes from – the use of the acronym „CC“ or „cc“ which was used to inform a recipient that carbon copies had been made and distributed to the parties listed after the colon. With the invention of word processors and e-mail, „cc“ is used as an indication of the distribution of letters to secondary recipients. So for us, CC symbolizes the spread of information, insights, and discussion.
